♦ What is a Compliance Group and why do I need it?

Compliance Groups are custom groupings of your employees that you will use in administering compliance activities.

While you can easily administer a compliance activity to send an email to all employees and require all employees to participate, there are common situations that all employees will not need to be involved.

For example, if you have a policy on “Used Needle Disposal,” you may want to create a Compliance Group called “Patient Care” that includes only employees that will be working around used needles.  The employees doing billing and collections may not need to participate; however, these employees may be included in a “Business Office” Compliance Group that must participate in the “Cash Handling Policy.”
